Coconut oil
Coconut oil is a tasty, healthy, naturally saturated vegetable product. Coconut butter is very stable, making it ideal for cooking and baking. Organic, cold pressed coconut oil is unhydrogenated, unrefined, contains no trans fatty acids and no solvents. Unhydrogenated coconut oil contains "good" fat - 50% Lauric Acid. It is made up of mostly medium chain fatty acids, which the body metabolizes efficiently and converts into energy, rather than storing it as fat. Coconut oil does not elevate your "bad" cholesterol (LDL) level, it is slightly lower in calories than most vegetable oil and much better for you.
Coconut butter is the same as coconut oil. When it is solid, it is referred to as coconut butter, when it is melted, it is referred to as coconut oil. Coconut butter/oil can be used as a healthy substitute for shortening or butter in baking recipes, for frying or cooking.
Coconut flour
Coconut flour is made from ground coconut meat and is an excellent high-fibre alternative to wheat. It has the highest fibre content of any flour. Having a very low concentration of digestible carbohydrates makes it an excellent choice for those who must restrict their carbohydrate intake
Coconut flour can be used to make breads, cakes, pies, and other baked goods. Use 15-25% in place of other flours in standard recipes.
