WHAT IS QUINOA?
Quinoa is one of the most ancient seeds and regarded as the least allergenic of all grains. It was of great nutritional importance to the ancient Incas and Aztecs. In contemporary times this crop has come to be highly appreciated for its nutritional value, as its protein content is one of the highest in the plant kingdom. Unlike wheat (which is low in lysine), quinoa contains a balanced set of essential amino acids for humans, making it an unusually complete food.
Quinoa is a great source of dietary fibre and phosphorus and is high in magnesium and iron. Quinoa is gluten free and considered easy to digest.
